The Cinemat Video Room: Memberships

To rent a video from us, you have to be a member. To apply, you will need to show a current ID with address (such as a driver's license) and a major credit card (Discover, MasterCard, Visa). Debit cards are okay. A second person may be named on your application, who will then be able to rent on your account; whoever is listed as the primary accountholder will ultimately be responsible for the return of rented movies. Memberships do not expire.

A credit is good for one rental at the regular rate of $3.50. (A credit applied to movie rented from our Star Section -- usually a new release -- will cost $1.00.)

Our most basic membership is the Best Boy package ($14.95) which is 5 credits, bringing your cost to $2.99 per rental. Our other memberships are even better deals. If you plan to rent a lot of movies, you might consider buying a larger package:

Best Boy package: 5 credits for $14.95
Clapper Loader package: 7 credits for $19.95
Dolly Grip package: 12 credits for $29.95
Foley Artist package: 18 credits for $39.95
Gaffer package: 25 credits for $49.95
Key Grip package: 50 credits for $79.95 (best deal -- $1.60 per credit!)

Credits are also a good way to lower the cost of extended viewing fees (EVFs). Since they're pretty much just like re-renting, you can apply a credit to an EVF and lower the cost of keeping a title out longer. If you've racked up a lot of EVFs, buy a package and save money!

We still show movies in the Screening Room on Sundays. You don't have to be a member to attend a screening! Tickets to regular evening screenings are usually $4.00 for non-members; having a membership gets you in for $3.50. Credits are good for screenings also...two get you and a friend in for free!
